Would the Mods of ridculously big forums get paid.

well, if the forum is big enough, I believe mods have to be paid because being a moderator is not really an easy task.

Yes, paid moderators are around, in fact you can "purchase" moderators for a monthly fee from some companies.

I pay my moderators at www.DomainJunking.com with domains, PPC sites, and hosting, just as a little thank you for moderating my forum.
