These are again an awesome way to get members, i read some where that there are more websites than there are poeple to see them, Many people dont know your site exists and so they see a topsite and click on it and look there in your site. If you put a link for people to vote on the topsite for you then you are getting higher rankings in the topsite, this makes more people see the site in the list of sites, geting... ow i think you get the idea.
You can find top sites easily just by searching on google for this
sitegenre topsites
just replace where it says sitegenre with the genre of your site eg, RPG, adult etcetra.
