How long has your site been running? Have you done any sort of SEO on it? Do the spiders visit your site on a regular basis? Have you done any sort of link building?

Its been on the search engines for about 3 months now.. My host submitted the site to search engines and some directories. What and how do you know if spiders are visiting your site? I've done 9 exchange links for the moment, do I need to do more?

Cheers mate

Just submitted your site to search engines isn't going to do much for you. You need to optimize your site for search engines, and try to keep the spiders coming back to your site. That means fresh content, updated daily or weekly.

Have a look at this: http://www.seomoz.org/beginners.php, that should give you an overview of what you'll need to do to SEO your site.

I think you're running phpBB, there's lots you can do to that software to optimize it. Search for the able2know SEO mod, that does some good stuff for phpBB.

I agree, a mod_rewrite and some other mods for phpbb may help you a little with SE spiders finding your content more easily and efficiently.

In addition to on-page optimization techniques you need to build up inbound links from as many other related authority sites as possible.

Here is where you are now:

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&l...2F&btnG=Search

Here is your goal:

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&l...www.google.com

Keep posting and gaining members so that your content is constantly refreshed and updated. try to think of creative ideas in order to get more links and more members!

One thing to remember with google and relatively new sites is the sandbox effect. This results in google artificially deflating your search ranking for a period while it determines if your site is going to be "trustworthy".

Default Ask Google

Quite possible that your site has been fallen prey to "Bigdaddy Update".

As things are not coming clear from google, you can join hands with many other people from the online community, who are suffering same problem you are facing.

You can fill a form to ask google, what and where is it going wrong?

Hi,

You must increase your traffic for more visitors. You can add analytics and track the users for your site. and then increase the traffic according to the results from analytics.
