SMF or vB?

I'm thinking about putting a "front door" on my forum. I never even considered doing so until I saw this one, it's so nice!

But when I posted about it on the Admin Zone Forum. someone suggested that if I wanted to do that, I should go with SMF rather than vB.

is there any particular reason that anyone can think of?

Well, you know what I'm gonna say... Go with vBulletin. I'm not a fan of SMF.

Well if you are limiting it to the two options I would have to say vb.
