setting up a mp3 site

so I want to make a mp3 site. where users can upload mp3 and other people can download.

Definitely illegal. but what do you guys think of the idea.

I really want to make my own forum.

well you know its illegal, im sure you know the risks, it would more than likely take off however when it becomes big it will get closed down with possible legal cases, you may also have a problem finding advertisers and the hosting in the 1st place, also if your site was found then would hope you would have your own server as police etc have the right to close down servers which would have other peoples sites on there, which makes it a little unfair on the other people running genuine honest sites if they lose their site and income

thanks for the tips. I'm hesitant because of the inevitable legal issues. And bandwidth will surely be an issue. there is one host I know that offers 400gb/month. but I don't think that is even enough for a mp3 site.

yeh i would advise against it. it is too risky and they will find out who you are.

well, I won't be starting a mp3 site, but I've thought a lot and said to myself, what is it that webmasters want to do? so I came up with the idea that's like any other idea, a website that allows webmasters to post their website.

so, I created postmylink.com. it allows webmasters to post their link so others can see your site.

what do you guys think?
