I use only phpbb so i will give my views on that in this post to start with and then i will add other peoples as you make them.

3. Easy to modify

con's

1. Security problems

pro's

1. very fast
2. skinable
3. versitile
4. one time fee

con's

1. licence
2. eats b/w
3. hard to skin
4. costs a lot
5. no free upgrades with yearly upgrades

Ipb

pro's

1. many features
2. Fully administrable
3. free upgrades with yearly license
4. good price(10$ cheaper than vB
5. easy to skin,

con's

1. pricie fee
2. plugins cost extra and alot extra.

Ubb

pro's
con's

1. Expensive

SMF

pro's

1. Free
2. Skinable
3. Versitile

Well... phpBB doesnt cost anything, there is no license except the GPL and there is no one time fee. vBulletin: cons: hard to skin, costs alot, no free upgrades with yearly upgrades, eats b/w. IPB: pros: good price(10$ cheaper than vB), free upgrades with yearly license, easy to skin, doesnt eat b/w, cons: plugins cost extra and alot extra.

SMF: cons: isnt skinable, not new; pros: does have lots of support.

Okay. Thats more like it.

You should add that phpbb has more security problems that the others. It's a definite con that you need to pay close attention to the updates and many who don't lose their entire site.

A con for UBB is that its pretty expensive,not sure about pros.

Pros about phpbb is the easy Moding in Acp or Userpanel, Even sking, or using it. Everything on Phpbb is self explanitory. If you do not know how to use phpBB you are a F*cking moron.

you have a problem dude, its easy if you know how.. like me. and also you need to install easyMOD and it gives your coding fucked up problems.
