Default vBulletin Question

Okay. I'm thinking about buying vBuletin in the next 2 to 3 years from now, And I just wanted to know something. If you buy a VB licence can you get someone else to instal it for you? I'm really bad at that and I would need all the help I can get.

Sorry to get off topic but... Jelsoft is a money hungry comoany, there yearly license forces your remove the software off your website, they make you pay extra for all services and support, and upgrades. IPB: You get to keep the board on your site after a yearly license ends and you also get free upgrades, supprot and 3 free installs. Your wasting money with Jelsoft or atleast spending too much of it.

You want to buy it in 2-3 years? Is that a typo?

This is way too early to be shopping. Software and the web in general can cycle 2-5 times in that span.

Yes like labrocca is saying by the time you have enough money for vb there will be another forum software which will be leading the way in new features and technology.
Although i do think VB is the best for business related topics, but i quite like IPB for gaming and template forums.

Definitely, VB is a very easy install. I'm sure you won't have any trouble finding someone to install it for you.

I don't think Jelsoft is money hungry at all. If you buy an owned license, all you have to pay is a very minimal yearly fee to keep getting updates. If you don't pay for the updates, you can still keep the board. Anyway why bother with the yearly license when the owned is quite affordable?

Well.... All im saying is is that with IPB you get more for less money. An IPB perpetual license gives you unlimited upgrades for free, and one years of internet AND phone support and vBs phone support is an extra $60.00 I think its alot better. I respect vB but I will never respect Jelsoft for being ignorant and selfish money hungry brats.
