Default Is VB worth the money?

I am starting up a few forums. Is VB worth the money? If so, why? Is it easier to manage? Please let me know.

Thanks everyone,
Nick

I dont think any software is worth money, untill i came accross vBulletin. It is very easy to manage, more items to manage, bult in mods, FULL support, and to be honest i fullfilled a life goal, check my site out. www.forumaid.com as you see all the extra stuff, in phpbb or ipb it would take like 50mods but with vb it took 3 - 4 custom mods. More ppl working on mods and loads more reasons. but what ever forum u use, www.forumaid.com will always be here for you.

Hello,

I agree, vB has top notch security and barely any loop holes. Hacking vB to what I personally know isnt easy. I know a few loop holes half the hackers dont know about. So basicly, vB rock, and is worth the money (If you can afford it )

Forums in VB seem to have more credibility to me, and shows that the owner is serious about the community and it will last long.

It depends what you plan to do with your site. Vbulletin makes it easier than other brands to customize and rollback in the event of some failures.

The vbulletin mod community is huge, and that really extends the shelf life and functionality of it.

Invision Powerboard has really improved ther product in the last versijon, and added an excellent blog/journal addon that beats all vbulletin journal/blog mods.
